    What Is JetVanguard Parts Manager?

Parts Manager is the seller-side operating environment for managing aircraft parts inventory and the work around sourcing and selling it.

    Quick Answer

JetVanguard Parts Manager gives aircraft parts sellers a more organized place to manage inventory and parts-related workflow. Sellers can start with existing inventory data, review and manage records, connect eligible inventory to Marketplace activity, and work with RFQs, quotes and transactions without treating each step as a completely separate process.

Start with the inventory you already have

Aircraft parts sellers often already maintain inventory in spreadsheets, internal systems or other files. Using Parts Manager does not mean every record needs to be typed into JetVanguard manually. Existing inventory data can be the starting point. The objective is to bring that information into a structured seller environment where records are easier to review, maintain and use as part of the broader sourcing workflow. For sellers using spreadsheets, JetVanguard also provides tools that can help evaluate and clean inventory files before they move farther into the process.

Inventory becomes part of the seller workflow

A searchable inventory record is useful, but the seller still has work to do around it. Parts Manager is designed to give sellers an operating view of inventory and the activity connected to selling aircraft parts. Depending on the workflow and enabled capabilities, that can include areas such as: - inventory records - stock information - inventory review - Marketplace visibility - RFQ activity - quotes - transactions - related seller operations The important distinction is that inventory is not treated only as data sent somewhere else for buyers to search. It remains part of the seller's working environment.

Marketplace visibility can begin with the same inventory

Once inventory is organized and eligible for Marketplace publication, sellers can make appropriate records available for buyers to discover. That creates a more direct relationship between the inventory a seller manages and the inventory presented through the Marketplace. A seller should still review its records and maintain accurate information. Marketplace visibility is most useful when the underlying inventory information is useful too.

RFQs and quotes are part of selling the part

A buyer finding a part does not mean the sale is complete. The buyer may need to confirm availability, condition, documentation, pricing or other details. Parts Manager is designed around that reality. The seller workflow can continue from inventory discovery into RFQ and quote activity rather than treating the searchable listing as the end of the process.

Parts Manager and JV Workspace serve different jobs

A seller does not need to adopt an entire CRM or business-management system just to begin using Parts Manager. Parts Manager focuses on inventory and parts-related activity. JV Workspace can support the broader business around that work, including contacts, conversations, sales tracking, payments, documents and client relationships. A company can begin where the immediate need exists and use additional capabilities when they become useful.

Parts Manager is not meant to erase every system you already use

Larger sellers may already have ERP, inventory or other operational systems. Smaller sellers may have a spreadsheet process that works well for certain tasks. Parts Manager does not have to replace a useful system simply to justify its existence. The better question is: Where can a more connected seller workflow make inventory, sourcing and transaction activity easier to manage? That is the role Parts Manager is designed to fill.

    In Practice

A parts seller maintains several hundred aircraft components in a spreadsheet. Instead of manually recreating each record, the seller begins with the existing file, reviews its structure and imports the inventory into Parts Manager. The team can work with the inventory in a structured seller view and determine which eligible records should be made available through the Marketplace. When sourcing activity begins around one of those parts, the inventory record is no longer disconnected from the RFQ and transaction workflow that follows.
